Lexus is a better overall car in my opinion, yet if you are looking to save, go with the Hyundai Genesis, as they make pretty decent cars, and it performs almost as good as the Lexus. The Lexus will likely last longer, have better service and warranty, and overall will be a better quality car down to the last detail, yet the Hyundai will save you about $7,000, so if you are buying the car and need to save, the Hyundai is definitely the better value car. However, the Lexus does have better gas mileage with 22.9 miles per gallon comparing it to the Hyundai Genesis that gets17.6 miles per gallon. According to the brand Lexus has a better image and is more well known for building quality luxury cars, so if status and prestige are important to you, then you might want to spend a little extra with the Lexus. I'd personally recommend the Lexus if you can choose between either vehicle, but if your budget is tight, it wouldn't hurt to go with the Hyundai Genesis, as it does almost match up to the Lexus. • The Hyundai V8 gets 17/18 miles per gallon verse the Lexus V6 which gets 22 mpg. However the Genesis is 7k less cost. That is huge. Lexus resale is probably stronger than hyundai. Hyundai claim of advancing engineering, design, and cost is coming true.

I believe it would be easier to resell a Lexus than a Hyundai at this time. You've got to remember, this is Hyundai's real first competing car to a luxury vehicle like a Lexus. Although the 7k less is appealing, yet the resale value of a Lexus will likely be stronger.
