Interesting question!
As a driving enthusiast and someone who's taken about 40 hours of flying lessons, I would love to see something like this become a reality. However, there are many things that stand in the the way of something like this becoming available to the average consumer. Aside from price, the licensing issue would be a strong deterrent. It would only be feasible for someone who was already a licensed pilot (which typically costs $6,000 to $10,000 and takes around 55 hours of flying time..plus passing a written and practical exam).
Then after all that expense, buying something like this would give you a mediocre car and a mediocre aircraft that could still only be flown from a regulation airfield. In essence, the only benefit would be saving hangar fees from storing your plane. You'd be better off buying a regular car and a regular small airplane.
If technology got to the point where it was safe and affordable for cars to actually take flight from public roads and somehow navigate along designated skyways (a la The Jetsons) without requiring any special skills from the driver, THEN we'd be on to something!

Wouldn't people need like a flying license to use it? also special places to take off and descend like airports? I mean, if everybody can just take off and descend wherever they feel like, traffic accidents will go up exponentially! Still, I want to have one of those! :)
