The Puma has the same basic problem as the Segway. Where can it be safely driven? The inventor hoped to replace cars, then the streets would all have been Segway streets. Since that didn't happen Segway and its fans managed to get it made legal in various places but that didn't make it appropriate or safe. It's too small and slow for the street with cars and trucks. It's too big and fast for pedestrian sidewalks or even bicycle lanes. That pretty much leaves it as a niche vehicle in retirement villages, large manufacturing sites, and the occasional historic downtown tourist area. I can see the Puma as being almost as popular as the Segway, which isn't much.

What do you think about project P.U.M.A from Segway?
Segway is demonstrating it can think outside the box. What do you think about the PUMA. Will we see the PUMA in dealership any time soon?
