1. Some states are considering legislation to enhance payments to auto dealers when manufacturers eliminate brands.
2. State Franchise laws cover contracts between automakers and dealers.
3. The dealers are pushing for law changes that will determine amounts that companies like GM will pay dealers for discontinued models.
4. The Virginia legislature bill is developing compensation payment plan to dealers based on brand’s value over a two years
