India has growing middle class population approx 300 millions with increasing purchasing price .There is soaring demand of automobiles as we see a new entrant in Indian Automobile scene be it Volvos , Toyota, Ford ,Bmw ,Suzuki , Honda , Hyundai , Fiat , Mistubshi , competing with local manufacturers like tatas ,mahindras. Indian auto industry is just in its intial phase .Tata s has recently launched a cheapest car under usd 2500/- to cater for low cost cars .Heavy Vehicle markets have few players where we can see more foreign players.With Improvements in infrastructure and growth we will see this demand soaring up.

Plus add in the factors like slow inefficient crowded (buses, trains), public transport. The absence of fast modern efficient mass transit systems (subways, high speed trains). People who can afford to buy it, will gladly buy a car just to avoid going thru such hell.
India for example is a very hot country. Even driving with bad roads or getting stuck in a traffic jam. You would certainly feel a lot better and comfortable in an air-conditioned car.

Any country with a 'huge population' and an emerging 'middle class' is a perfect market for automobiles. Its like a universally accepted rule. That's why China and India are hot targets of big auto makers. Plus add in the factors like slow inefficient crowded (buses, trains), public transport. The absence of fast modern efficient mass transit systems (subways, high speed trains). People who can afford to buy it, will gladly buy a car just to avoid going thru such hell.
India for example is a very hot country. Even driving with bad roads or getting stuck in a traffic jam. You would certainly feel a lot better and comfortable in an air-conditioned car.
