If you were the driver of "Gone in 60 seconds" what car would choose to drive and why? Choose a car from your era.

I would choose a 83 Corvette, for its power and speed and handling.

The car of my era is the Mustang. I have a soft spot for them. They make me lightheaded when I see a '65 come roaring down the street.
I even had one when I was a kid!

Asker's Rating:
• I listened to a street racer, who used a Cobra Boss to beat Porches and Corvettes off the line. The car had amazing straight line acceleration, a definate muscle car, for the street.

I think the math calculates the stopping distance from top speed to zero at 5 football fields (500yards = 457.2m)! Even though it takes less than 10 seconds. So to be safe, don't tailgate. ;)
