Restore what you will enjoy. The odds of finding something inexpensive that will be highly valuable when restored are not large, so do it because you love it.
the best values today are the "standard" versions of 60's muscle cars. You can get the vintage look and more performance than Detroit could imagine 40 years ago and have something you can drive every day and have a good resale in the end. in this way, these cars are very much the "57 Chevy". They are plentiful and they were nothing special when new.
I'm personally working on a '64 Austin Healey Sprite. it will never be worth a fortune, but I like it!

I am looking for an old car or truck to restore. What classic cars are available for cheap?
I used to have a 57 Chevy. Someone else had restored it. All the 57 Chevys are gone. It is rare to find one in a junk yard. If you do find one, the seller usually wants a premium for it. What is the next 57 Chevy?
