It's cute and gimmicky, but not very practical. It moves at a speed not much faster than just walking, and it doesn't have anyway to carry or tote anything along with it (would throw off the balance).
Learning curve aside, I think it could be problematic for a lot of people to use as a daily form of transportation. And while I appreciate that it just runs on battery charge, I think you could just as easily accomplish the same travel on foot.
It's certainly neat, and this guy's brilliant for his design, but I think they're just toys and nothing more. I wonder how much one will cost??

The Segway was designed arrogantly, as if cars would be banned so that Segways could rule the streets. This Enicycle looks designed to fit in with current city designs.

Enicycle: One Wheel Segway?
It is like a Segway but it only has one wheel. What are your thoughts on it?

• I also wonder what it will cost. I agree, it does seem like a fun toy, and I think it won't change the world anymore more than the Segway did. Good answer!

This is a much better attempt than the Segway, if it works. The Segway is too big and heavy to mix with pedestrians, but too small and light to mix with cars and trucks in the street. This one looks as if it might be light enough to run on the sidewalks safely, and to fit indoors for parking. The Segway was designed arrogantly, as if cars would be banned so that Segways could rule the streets. This Enicycle looks designed to fit in with current city designs.

You should be able to wear a backpack once you get the hang of it.
It ought to be cheaper than a Segway.
