It sounds to me like you are really expecting alot more out of this car than what it is. The Camry is not a sports car, no where close. It is just a basic A to B get the job done car. Its going to have body roll, as far as the tires they may need replaced or are under inflated. I really doubt that the car will just fall over at moderate speeds it just seems unlikely. You car should have no problems going freeway speed, its not going to get up to speed super fast but should be very adequate on the highway.
A good way to test out the car and see if it truly is a problem with your car is to go to a dealer and test drive another used 2005 Camry with similar options as your car. See how it compares to the problem car.
If you discover you are having problems with your 2005 I suggest going to the Car Talk website and using their Mechanics Files tool (Lower Right hand side of the page) http://www.cartalk.com/index.html to find a good local mechanic in your area to take the car to. Have them do a general overview of the car and also mention the problems.

Does anyone have problems with their 2005 Camry (I've already asked this question on Mahalo about the 2002 Camry?
The 2002 Camry was the 1st year's production of the 6th generation of Camrys. So, what's the deal with the 2005s? A coupleof months ago I went on some auto forums and also some specifically Toyota forum. Apparently, many people have had some problems from the first day they bought the 2005's new. But some are worse than others. Has anyone had one of these - if, so what do you do to make it driveable? One dToyota dealership Ceritified it as a Certified Used car. Another Toyota dealership 800 miles away testdrove it and went over it and says its fine; there was nothing wrong - and then they immediately made a repair - although supposedly there was nothing wrong. The car is unsafe in my opinion at anything above 55 miles an hour. Here in California the flow of traffic on freeways is often 75-80. The suspension is soft; the car almost topples over when cornering; it porpoises on city streets and wobbles from side-to-side. I feel like I'm on that Disneyland ride, Pirates of the Caribbean. There is slugish acceleration between 1st and 2nd and its impossible to get up to speed when on a freeway offramp - VERY scary. The tires have no grip; it feels like you are never really connected to the asphalt. You never feel in control with this car. I'm sure I'm leaving something out
So, what do you know about 2005 Camrys from your own or others' experiences - and do you know of any solutions other than selling it off.
