Can you believe Chris Pronger and his attitude?

What do you think of all the controversy surrounding Chris Pronger "stealing" the puck from the Philedelphia Flyers after they won games 1 and 2 of the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs? Do you think this is stooping too low? Is there such a thing?

The video I posted has some interview at the beginning which does a great job of displaying Pronger's attitude towards the antics and media. Near the end they show the actual clips of him taking the pucks.

I don’t really mind his attitude at all. Chris Pronger, like all professional athletes is going to be asked the same questions over and over and over and at some point that has to be really annoying. It can be even more annoying when the media, who have asked the same questions over and over and then finally have to nerve to tell you that the issue is closed or over.
There are plenty of athletes who don’t have the ability to answer questions honestly and with quick thought and they end up getting owned by the media and made to look bad by a comment they made when they were either taken out of context or said something they didn’t mean in the heat of the moment. The media gets snippy when players dish it back to them and I have no pity for anyone in the media when they are genuinely doing something to antagonize.

I may be wrong, but his bantering back and forth with the media seems to be just that, banter. He does not seem angry, nor do they. In fact, he has what appears to be a rather pleasant smile on his face and a tone that seems devoid of anger. As for the puck, it's not like he had to race over and wrestle it away from anyone, he simply skated over and picked it up. If the Black Hawks were so devastated by him picking up the puck the first night, surely they would have assigned someone to get it the second night, but again, the only one who seemed interested in the puck was Chris. If it is a valuable bit of history, perhaps they should ask for it back. If he refuses, the league or a lawsuit might change his mind, but as it stands right now, he has a couple of pucks that nobody else was interested in at the time. I'm sorry to say that I don't see the big deal. I'm not trying to be disagreeable, I just don't see the fuss. When we have athletes assaulting their wives or involved in Dog fighting or drugs, drinking and driving or violating weapons laws, it's hard to get excited about a little cheekiness with the press and snitching a puck or two (have they asked for them back?). Are these really grown men, millionaires for the most part, squabbling over souvenir hockey pucks like little kids?

Check out this interview, the press seems to be enjoying the joking very much.
