Can Sony stop the recent "jailbreak" developments that's been appearing for the Playstation 3?
Lately, the PS3 hacking scene has started to become active due to the release of the jailbreak-like hack. Seeing as Sony seems to be pretty committed in tracking down all perpetrators and other people selling the hack or distributing information about it, do you think Sony will be able to keep the upper hand against these hackers? All past Playstation consoles have been hacked to death despite Sony's efforts to contain the problem. Do you guys think this generation will be any different?

The problem is that this is a system boot issue and can't simply be repaired via an online update. Their best effort will probably be to repair the issue on newly released consoles. Since you can't be prosecuted for sharing information on the internet, they are going to have a hard time curbing the distribution of the hack methods.
I think the Playstation 2 hacks were my favorite. They actually required you to have quick hands and precision timing! Now the technology does all the work for you...
