You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

The point? The movie/book is about behaviour and being a child and feeling like you don't belong
Max gets into trouble a lot. He wants to muck around all day and doesn't want to do what he's told to do. It upsets his Mum but Max doesn't see that side of things, all he sees is fun and games.
When he puts on the wild suit and runs away he finds himself in an imaginary land where people DO wild things all the time! They knock down houses, they knock down each other, they do whatever they please....they make him king
All this is fine until he makes decisions that others don't like, he hurts his friend Carol, he didn't think about their feelings and he sees how hurt they are by his behaviour.
The point is to show children how their behaviour affects others and how being left out and not having friends can be upsetting. It's about an imaginary world that shows Max how he appears to others....

M$Max leaves his home to join the monsters, lies to them to keep from being eaten, they take him in, eventually realize he's a phony, and exile him. Sad story if you ask me.
He learns to appreciate his family and understand what family really means.
There are other stories in that series and if I remember right, they each centered on how children develop their feelings and learn to express themselves.
