With man’s love going beyond the mammal world, anybody who loves sea creatures can own an octopus as a pet. That is, it depends on your definition of pet. Nowadays, some people have octopuses as pets in their reef tanks and aquariums.
In fact, some types of octopuses that can be found in peoples' homes are O. vulgaris, various pygmy species, and the "Bali octopus.” However, it is not quite easy to raise octopuses as they are very short-lived, and deciding to keep them should not be impulsive. Remember that they are also the type that needs a tank or aquarium on their own since they can devour other fishes and can be messy eaters.
Talking about squids?
Like I said, for sea-creature lovers, they can keep any kind as long as they have the proper care and environment for their sea pets to thrive and survive on. But it takes a special attention and maintenance to do this kind of pet-care. Well, if you have other motives, you can also breed squids for business or as part of your sea fare.
