Can alcohol content in food put you over the legal drinking limit?

Is it possible to test as legally drunk just by eating food that contains alcohol? Will having one drink and then consuming dessert that contains acolhol increase your blood alcohol levels?

I'm trying to imagine a recipe that would contain enough alcohol to create noticeable effects, much less put you over the legal limit. I make a killer authentic Swiss Cheese Fondue that would be perhaps the most alcoholic food dish. It's basically just alcohol and cheese. Here's the easy recipe, and I would strongly encourage you to try it for yourself. It is super satisfying, but I've never seen anyone get tipsy, even when gorging.

Warning, Flambe Recipe, make sure you are sober :-)

2 Cups White Wine (Rhine, Reisling, or Chablis, or for an asian alternative, sake)
1 Clove garlic, smashed all over the pot
Sea Salt to taste
Black Pepper, fresh ground to taste
Nutmeg, 2 dashes
1 pound Swiss Cheese (more aged the better). You can also do half Gruyere half Swiss. Coarsely Grate.
1 oz. Kirshwasser or Cognac if you don't have Kirsh
1 big loaf French or Italian Bread, cut into 1" cubes

Smash the garlic against the bottom of the fondue pot, rub all over everywhere inside the pot. Leave in if you like it really garlicky. Add wine and heat until just about to start boiling. Throw in handfuls of Swiss, and stir with a wooden spoon. When all cheese is added, reduce heat to minimum, salt and pepper to taste, and add 2 dashes nutmeg. Warm the Kirsh in a metal ladle or similar, dim the lights, ignite Kirsh, pour into fondue pot, and stir till flames go out!

Serve immediately. Stab cubes of bread with fondue fork, immerse fully in fondue, remove, twirl till no more cheese is falling off, and get ready to be happy! This stuff is really REALLY good. It impresses guests a lot, and it's not really that hard.

If you don't have a fondue set, you can use a saucepan and a stovetop, you just have to eat it at the stove.

This guy below knows what's good (No, it's not me).

Yes as long as the alcohol has not been added prior to cooking. Cooking will burn the alcohol off as in most recipes, however I've had tiramasu at a restaurant where there was booze added into the cake bottom after it was cooked. So if I consumed that it would be like drinking it.
