I use the Tokina 12-24mm f4 DX I find it has better range for me than the 11-16mm Tokina and is very sharp throughout, Great lens as a general walkabout lens especially in the city

Which Nikon wide angle lens is the best value for your money?
I am looking for a Nikon wide angle lens that is most versatile, and is a best buy. I am planning to only have 1 wide angle lens, so I want something that is suitable for most case scenarios.

• I've checked out the Tokina and i think its a good buy considering it is also half the price of its Nikon equivalent.

I was considering to buy a Nikon camera and had a look at several wide angle zoom lenses for that camera. Finally I didn't buy the Nikon, but I do remember that a Sigma wide angle zoom for Nikon got quite good reviews, better than the Nikon equivalant I mean to remember. Maybe you should look into that as well.
