I prefer checking places like...
http://www.slrgear.com/reviews/index.php
http://www.cameralabs.com/
These are good for your direct reviews but another good method is to use sites like...
http://amazon.com
http://kitzcamera.com
These sites are good to get customer reviews which too me are the best reviews over company and critic reviews. Another good resource are forums such as...
http://www.cameraslens.com/forum/
http://forums.photographyreview.com/index.php
If you do your research right through all your resources then before you purchase the one you found on these sites then come on here and ask the greatest community on the net for questions http://www.mahalo.com/answers narrow it down to 3 or 4 and have us help you with the final decision.

EDIT: The site is also 'not-for-profit' and isn't affiliated with Nikon, so you should be able to get an unbiased review on Nikon specific equipment.

I find that his reviews are very helpful and he's got it all there. He does comparisons, has lens reviews and information on products that haven't even hit the market yet. He tells it like it is and it's not 'all about the equipment'. So you get an idea of how exactly the products will work for you and why (or even if) you should spend the money to put them in your camera bag.
Really, there's more information out there than you might ever want...and the members above have noted a number of sites that will help. I'd suggest perhaps renting some of the lenses if you want to use them yourself - in the shooting situations that you would typically be in - then you'd know if they work for you.
You can rent lenses from a number of companies - one is http://www.lensrentals.com/for-nikon
Have fun.

What are the best lens review sites for Nikon Mount lens reviews.
I am looking for sites that offer reviews, I know of Nikonians, KenRockwell.com and dpreview.com and am looking for more sites that have in depth reviews of both Nikkor and third party lenses to help me in making a purchasing decision.

This site is all Nikon, all the time. They have many reviews, news items, and an active forum. You read the reviews and articles for free, and read the forums as well. There are other benefits, if you choose to join. EDIT: The site is also 'not-for-profit' and isn't affiliated with Nikon, so you should be able to get an unbiased review on Nikon specific equipment.

Yeah, I know about Nikonians, it's part of the list below the question...I'm looking for other sites, likely lesser known ones.

Pay to view a lens review of a product i know I can't afford? No thanks. Though since you know of this I'm guessing you also know of other sites with good information.

Hi, For Nikon lenses and cameras, and also many other reviews, I'd stick with what you've already mentioned - Ken Rockwell's site. Some love him, some people don't. http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/index.htm

Here's a review site that may also fulfill your request of being beyond the sites you mentioned, and providing reviews for both Nikkor and third party Nikon mount lenses: http://www.photodo.com/
