Which place is better to buy video handycam in Singapore in terms of cost effective,Is it cheap inside airport?

I am planning to buy a video camera (handycam) HDD model on the way back to India from Australia. I am planning to stay in Singapore for a day during the transit.

Please advice me about the best and genuine place to shop this. I m mostly looking for the Sony models.
