Ideally, red wines should be stored and served at the same temperature, which is "cellar temperature," about 55-60 degrees F (13 degrees C).

Store wines in someplace cold, dark and humid.

Since I have a basement, that's where I store my wines. It's also got some humidity, which is also good for long-term storage of wines.
