I made sure I spent all the time I could first before doing any solo tasks. That way my relationships stayed whole. This did force me to use some vacation time to keep my own personal affairs in order instead of using it for actual vacation time.

Who else is "on-call" this week (or ever)? How do you manage your work-life balance?
What kind of work do you do? How long are your "on-call" periods? How do you deal with the madness?! I do it by answering questions on Mahalo until the pager beeps!!!
