This month, I like FEDEX better.
BEGIN RANT:
I just had a really bad experience this past month with UPS. I mean why, if an address is incomplete, do they send a postcard to you to get an address confirmation. It hardly ever works. It's not like they don't have your phone number, but they don't call you and they don't call the sender. I had a package sent from another hospital on April 2nd. They didn't have the suite number. It got sent back to the hospital and resent to my offices. I confirmed the address directly with UPS FOUR times and they still continued to have problems delivering the item. We have a central mailroom at my hospital, they eventually gave up and delivered it directly there - which they should have done the first day. I finally got it on the 21st. This was a next day express package that was sent out from the SAME city and ti took nearly three weeks. I could have gotten it faster by going to the other hospital myself and picking it up. Ridiculous.
RANT OVER.
For packages I do like UPS but not for next day air. I have found in the past and in general that I get better customer service from FEDEX than UPS.
Thank you for this opportunity. :-)

As for service, I don't really have a preference. I've always been satisfied with the services of both companies. However, UPS guys do wear those sexy brown uniforms...

UPS, I dont know why but I just trust them a little more and I think their rates are cheaper. But that is if I had to choose out of those two. If I could state my own, I would say USPS. The post office has always done the best job for my things. I moved about 13boxes through USPS when I moved and they did a great job getting them to my new place quickly and without harm.

I like FedEx better because of the "hidden" arrow in their logo. It always captivates me. http://noisydecentgraphics.typepad.com/design/images/fedex_logo2.jpg
