Someone recently approached me about joining this business, not as a nurse, but as someone who arranges this. Travel nurses are like temporary nurses that are for hire. The travel to whatever market needs them. So, for example, if they live in Greensboro, NC, but there is a temporary need in a DC hospital, they will be flown up to DC and will have their room and board taken care of for them while they work there.
Travel nurses are given the opportunity to see the country. So, if you are young without a family holding you down, this is a nice occupation.
