Is British Airways a good investment at this time?

Airline profits and stock move up and down sharply with economic cycles.

Is now a good time to buy airline stocks in general and British Airways in particular?

Most airline stocks are not good at this time. As you might have read, Continental airlines is laying off. A lot of airline stocks go into bankruptcy, which usually wipes out the common stock.

In my opinion, your best bet is to look at Healthcare, Financials and Energy stocks.

BA's made gains in August. Up 4.8% today.

I'm not sure what the thinking is in your recommendations, as you just say "not good at this time" without too much explanation.
