My idea would be for you to open up a store either brick and mortar or an online store selling OVER PRICED games to noncheap gamers.
The other one would be for you to become a barber!

Cheapgamer wants goofy? I think this is a little off the wall but with potential. You like role-playing games? My daughter is a D & D something-something but what I've realized is at heart, she is an actress. She lives in reality but loves that bit of fantasy that playing someone else can give her. In addition to her D & D addiction she is also in the cast of....wait for it...
Fishnets & Floorshows!!!!

My 26-year old daughter has been in the Columbus, OH cast and sought out Rocky screenings when she moved to KCMO last fall. Every month, she dresses up as Riff-Raff and acts out the movie onstage while the movie plays on the big screen.
Cheapgamer should find a way to capitalize on this cult phenomenon. All over the country, people will venture into a theater playing a movie that was originally released in 1975. What's up with that? Well, I will admit to taking my children to their first screening of RHPS when they were teens. Hmph...if I'd only known.
You should find a way to partner with a small theater in order to make money for them and YOU once or twice a month. Charge admission, sell "throw packages" including rice and newspapers...if you build it, they will come dressed as Sweet Transvestites from Transexual Transylvania!
Added bonus: You would gain experience as a "promoter"!
On the serious side...your profile doesn't mention your programming skills. Have you thought of making your fantasy into a reality as an RPG video game? Or, without the programming skills why not build an RPG "board" game. Many locally owned gift shops will sell games created by locals. Who knows? Perhaps a national novelty chain could pick up on the game, you'd be looking for investment capital and selling hundreds of thousands of games a year!

Start right away building a automobile bridge around the Earth at the equator. Once complete you will charge $1 USD per mile to travel on this super-bridge.
Your bridge will have entrances and exits where available, South America, Africa, Indonesia and where viable land space permits within the Pacific Ocean.
As you can see some legs of this equatorial journey will be more expensive than others. Some commutes will be extraordinarily expensive. At approximately 25,000 miles in circumference an around the world trip will be around $25,000.00 USD
If necessary fueling stations would need to be set up in a similar fashion to modern oil rigs, perhaps refining into gasoline on-site the oil the rig itself drills.
**Include options for improvements in alternate fuel technology.
*** Include plans to repeat the same process at the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn to allow the entire planet reasonable access. As well in the distant future a Prime Meridian longitudinal bridge connecting all three bridges for planet wide access by automobile or other similar personal family transport technology not yet invented.

Have the games and have an internet cafe. Let people play for hourly rates. Give time incentives for bringing 5 or more customers to you
Start a website for exchanging the games. Charge a fees for using your site. Also, let them sell and buy used games. Do it online.
Be in the business of game testing. You can work from home and play all time.
Let your friends play for free and give you feed back. Sell this feed back and earn money. ( remember to treat them with good beer when you get the money)

I know gaming articles are huge, and draw in the viewers by the thousands. If you also added a listing of top to worst, best or strangest games that would be awesome.
You could also design your own game, where you take over top internet properties. There are so many role playing games out there, but I'd love to see one about internet properties mongols who vie to get the best net properties and then go bankrupt. Of course you cannot use the real names, but they could be similar i bet. Just call it dot com busting. Okay not silly but what the heck its been a long day here.

So why not start online first? There are free shopping carts there you could use just in case. ^^ With this online thing, you could also have a portion of gaming reviews. I usually read reviews first before getting the game to make sure what I'm getting is a good one. If you'll get known, game producers will be asking you to create a review for their game. Sounds exciting right? ^^
Another thing with the online site, you can add advertisements! You can earn a lot with this if your placing are correct plus you get a tons of visits and clicks.
It's still better if you'll include details like are you going to start this alone, how much your capital will be and what your interest are so we could think of a better business for you. :)
Okay, the not serious part... Sell drugs! lol XD You'll be a millionaire by one month and a prisoner once get caught. XD

actually, i think a cool business would be to take people's computers, pull out the hard drive with all their photos and emails and win XP or visa, put that HD into an external enclosure. install a fresh 1 TB drive, install their windows 7 upgrade (if they have it ... or add on the price of the upgrade if they don't)
THEN move their important data from the external to the big drive, install Ubuntu on that big drive and set up their email accounts to also work there.
should be about a two hour process, your costs: ~85 dollars for a 1TB drive, you'll want to keep SATA and PATA drives in stock, ~20.00 for the external enclosure (same advice ... most of the old drives are going to be PATA, but bring along both types) 0.00 for Ubuntu (or Mint, or Antix)
Show them how to work the GRUB screen, and wish them well.

• Quite a few people mentioned online game sales, but I really like the community aspect of this one as I think it would really spread the word.

Do you develop games? Sorry unsure of your history. You can hit up the major gaming platforms such as myspace, facebook etc. You can actually iframe free games, shove ads all over and make it your own on certain (cough) platforms.

Well you could create a web site with your user name, and sell games as was mentioned. However you could add a section of gaming articles and that would so draw in the crowds and make you money hand over fist. I know gaming articles are huge, and draw in the viewers by the thousands. If you also added a listing of top to worst, best or strangest games that would be awesome.
You could also design your own game, where you take over top internet properties. Serious answer... It depends on how much time you can put on it or if you have a business partner that could help you out or how much money you'll put on it. Since you are a gamer like what your username claims, lol, why not sell games either on your place or online. Build a store near your place. I know someone here who started a business with the same concept. He sells games, consoles as well as other console accessories. But you must have direct suppliers with this type of business, as well as big money to start-up. "Let cheapgamer come to your house and install your windows 7 update." only $200.00 ! actually, i think a cool business would be to take people's computers, pull out the hard drive with all their photos and emails and win XP or visa, put that HD into an external enclosure. install a fresh 1 TB drive, install their windows 7 upgrade (if they have it ... or add on the price of the upgrade if they don't)
