How can a company bid on the project?

We have supplied a quote to US Army Corps of Engineers. Now the project will go for bidding on Fedbizops. How does the bidding process work?
Thank you in advance.

Federal Business Opportunities website is found at www.fbo.gov.

Federal Agencies announce upcoming projects on FedBizOpps as sources sought, combined synopsis/solicitation, and for the actual bidding. There are several ways to find the job advertisement.

1. Search by Keyword: If there is a unique word in the anticipatedproject, search for that word in the keyword block on the FedBizOpps home page. If the keyword is a term with more than one word, put it in quotations to get the best search results. Once results are shown, look for the Corp of Engineer Agency you worked with, or for the exact title in order to find the job advertisement.

2. Search by Agency: On the FedBizOpps home page, start to type the Agency name in the block provided. If you type Corp in this block you will see the agency names show which contain this word. Choose the one you provided info to so you can see what projects they are advertising.

Once you have found the project, click the link to the page to determine the status of it. It may be in sources sought stage. If so, you can choose to put your company name on the interested vendors list, and you can register to receive notification of all updates for the project.

The project may show a link called solicitation. If so, you will need to download the documents and read the solicitation to see when the bid is due and what procedures the are using to bid. Every solicitation is different. Some agencies accept bids by fax, others accept by email and some only take hard copies. The solicitation tells you how to provide the bid.

If you are interested in a solicitation and are preparing a bid, make sure you register for updates, or check the page daily. If there are project changes, they will be posted to FedBizOpps also.

Good luck in your quest for Government contracts.
