I think the pros would be that at some point in the future you could possibly use your brand for something that you need, obviously, if you have quite the following and suddenly you need something promoted, you already have a major component in place.
The cons could be that perhaps some day you grown tired of your big personal brand and want to go back to being more secluded and under the radar, that might not be possible...but if your talking about the internet you just have to change your username :)

Growing too big, too fast...
A short question that may require a longer answer: Growing a "personal brand” for passion without a real need of anything from anyone… growing too big, too fast. What are the pros and cons of it? The good, the bad... The nice, the ugly?
