Yes I run a small IT web design company so this is definately worth doing for the following reasons:

1) Extra profit - I can buy at wholesale rate and resell tot eh customer at retail rate. Making a healthy profit.
2) Extra customer service - Customers like to often buy all in one place and therefore I like to offer the web design and hosting in one place.
3) I don't like the thought that i've created a good web design solution only for the hosting to let the solution down, therefore it's good to control this potentially adverse project variable.
4) I think hosting is a part of my web design solution.
