Definitely. I use to go to eBay a lot, but now I stay away. Too many ripoffs and their rating system has become a joke. Amazon is much better, but I won't rate anyone, especially people who request contacting them before rating them below 5 stars. I think that kind of request should be banned.
One month I got my credit card and realized that I had purchased 19 items from Amazon that month. Ouch!

I still really like www.half.com, which is an eBay company. But the "auction" side of their site (I put auction in quotes because of how few of their listings are even auctions anymore) has just been useless for me for a long time.
Amazon is fantastic. I have never had any issues with them, it's easy to return merchandise, they have a very well done site, and I will continue using them unless they go the way of eBay (which I don't anticipate).

Absolutely. I used to look at eBay all the time for random items I needed to buy. But with their new seller policies, new fees, etc it has become far less useful for me. I still really like www.half.com, which is an eBay company. But the "auction" side of their site (I put auction in quotes because of how few of their listings are even auctions anymore) has just been useless for me for a long time.
