MLM could also mean Multi-level marketing. For more information on Multi-level marketing, here are a few resources for you:

If you didn't mean MLM as in "Multi-level marketing", Wikipedia has a list of a few more possibilities: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MLM
tags: marketing, mlm

Because you posted this in business I think it might be the company Martin Marietta Materials n the general building materials located in Raleigh, North Carolina, United States. Trading 6/26/2009 at $82.

It is probably more commonly thought of as a unit of measure mlm (millilumen). This is a luminous flux. In math you arrive at it by intensity x angle.

Or.. it might be that it is the General Francisco J. Mujica International Airport in Mexico, but the 'official' ICAO code is actually MMMM.

Hope I got it with these three.

MLM, here are some things to remember when starting an MLM:
1) Getting a great product
If you don't get a great product you won't succeed. What separates this product from the competition, what makes it distinct or unique. This could be price, could be innovation.
2) Avoiding scams
Regrettably many MLM opportunities are scams. It's essential that all MLM's are checked prior to start-up. Ask yourself:
A) Has the company been around at least 5 years?
B) What is the market capitalisation of the company?
C) Does the MLM have credible and high reputation Directors?
D) Ask yourself does it sound too good to be true, if so it normally is!
3) Is the product needed?
No matter how good a product is, if it isn't needed then nobody will buy. Make sure that there is sufficient market for you and your downline. Don't fall for the current trend or in-vogue products out there, they will soon not be flavour of the month anymore!
4) Can you make immediate cash?
If you can make immediate cash you have a chance. Not only can you finance future expansion but you can also entice other downline from you. If you can't soberly see yourself making money don't join.
5) Is this a good way to spend your life?
You only get one life, at least have fun. If it's something you wouldn't enjoy then why do it?
6) Can you do the MLM part-time?
Starting an MLM is often too risky, can you start this part-time, if so you can always fall back on your other income.
7) Do you have a committed sponsor who knows what they're doing?
Having a committed sponsor helps a lot. Ideally an experienced sponsor (2+ years), who can give you plenty of advice and hopefully freebies. Why do it on your own if you don't have to?

Hope the above helps, my main maxim though is "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is".
