In order to reach the Brown Belt level on Mahalo you must demonstrate focus, spirit, strength, empathy and discipline, while helping grow the community.
It is with great pride and admiration I'm pleased to announce that Jeff Hoard has passed his brown belt test. Notes from each of the five master Guides at Mahalo's HQ in Santa Monica follow.

Jeff Hoard has been an invaluable part of the Mahalo Answers team from the very beginning. He works tirelessly during his shifts to answer some of the hardest questions Mahalo Answers has to offer - and even spends time off-the-clock making sure that the Answers community is thriving. Congrats, Jeff! You were a good motivator, from your fellow brown belter. I'm still waiting on the extra Oscars questions, as I answered the next set thinking you were going to ask it again. I guess I'm way too far ahead with some questions, yet I'm still amazed with some of the great answers you've put up here as well. Keep up the greatness! Hope to see us wearing the black belt, soon! I could only imagine how much more of a challenge the next test will be.

This is really interesting. I didn't know about belt testing, and it looks like I may be needing mine within the next couple of weeks. Can you let us know more about it?

Yep here's another snaffu. Because when I answered this question I was the first to answer it. The time stamp was February 26, 2009 at 7:29pm. Which has not happened yet. Unless of course Mahalo is actually housed on the other side of the date line.
