It took me just about four months, but then I'm a very busy mom of three. When I was close, it happened to be the weekend, so I ranked a brown belt on points for a day or so before my test.

My tips would be: answer questions well, and in a friendly manner. Do some legwork and list your sources, but don't copy/paste. Rather than trying to answer the most questions in the least amount of time, try to give real, in-depth responses that are of good quality, and you're more likely to get the Best Answer. And don't forget to vote! That helps others, plus you get points for doing it!
