British papers report a rescued Haitian surviving for 11 days on beer and cookies, American papers say cokes. Is the US censored by MADD?

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I think fear of alcohol, period. The US has a whole culture that is anti-alcohol, but it's okay to binge drink once you hit the legal age. I did notice how some papers say "soda" or "cola" and the US papers are making sure to say Coca-Cola. I'm sure Coca-Cola is profiting from the free advertising. That's all America cares about these days. Advertising and selling, whether it's a product or an idea. It's sick really.

Hello albanian,

It is a possibility but I think that it is all being looked into far too much. A good amount of beer is water. Humans die without water after 3 days, without food after 3 weeks. Its possible that beer and cookies did the trick for 11 days. Nothing super special about beer.

Kind regards,

Yes it would be plausible either way; but, why are the American papers reporting Cola and the British reporting beer?

I thought that was strange also. Perhaps the shop keep was not 21 :)
