Since when does a world champion not belong in a hall of fame? Like most American sportswriters, this one is hopelessly prejudiced in favor of American athletes and is insultingly dismissive of Europeans and other foreigners. I don't like or support boxing but parochial sportswriters are the bane of most sports. It's a shame.

• I think it's a great point to make that sportscasters do have biases that ought to be identified.

I'm no boxing expert, but he was almost legend in Sweden. People in Sweden who were around when he beat Floyd Patterson in Yankee Stadium can remember where they were and what they were doing when this happened. It was like the moon landing was for the US.
If this hall of fame is truly international then he should be included
