Nostradamus wrote his quatrains mainly in French, with some words borrowed from other languages. Unfortunately, given standard printing practices in the 16th century, no two versions of Nostradamus are identical, and the various translations that have appeared over the centuries only add to the confusion over what Nostradamus actually wrote.

There are some online collections of Nostradamus's quatrains. Some are in English, some in French, and the number of quatrains varies from one list to the next.
