As far as my research goes, the reasonably-priced copies of this title are going to be in electronic format. Even Bookfinder.com failed to come up with any really-good prices (ignore the first result from Half.com - that price isn't valid, I'm sorry to say).

One ebook version is $5.99 at ebooks.ebookmall.com.

Kindle version is $7.99 at Amazon.

A few other ebook versions available for less than ten bucks at ereadable.com.

The printed copies that I've found were thirty, forty bucks (low prices - high prices were more than two hundred bucks). Amazon, and other book sellers, aren't offering any copies from their own stores - meaning that there aren't any new copies available for them to buy. When a book's out of print, the available copies become more valuable. You can hit Amazon Marketplace and buy a used copy for thirty-odd dollars, though. That's not a bad price for an out-of-print book, to be honest.

You could also get lucky. I've found a few insanely-underpriced titles at estate sales, garage sales, thrift and charity shops, the flea market, et cetera. Those sellers don't necessarily know that their titles are more valuable, which is why I manage to pick up things like $45 field guides to wildlife for two bucks.

Just don't bother trying to score a great deal at Half Price Books. Believe me, I've tried. Those folks tend to know their stuff. However, these retailers usually have rare and/or out-of-print books for sale, albeit at fair market prices, so this might be a place to shop if you really want to examine the book before you buy it.

You might also try putting out "wanted" ads on Craigslist and Freecycle. Offer to take boxes of Star Trek books off peoples' hands and they just might take you up on it. And if you get boxes full of titles that you already have, or don't want, you can always sell them or use them as trading fodder at PaperBackSwap, which is a good place to find all sorts of books, including rare and out-of-print titles. It's a trading site, but you don't set your own prices - it's one credit per book, and two per audio book. If I were you, I'd consider signing up for a free account, listing a few books to mail out (to get the credits - you can also buy credits via PayPal if you want), and add this title to your Wishlist.

I'm sorry that I couldn't be more helpful.
