Jumanji is a 1981 children's illustrated short story / novel about a magical board game that manifests real animals and other jungle elements as the players are playing the game. The book was written and illustrated by the author Chris Van Allsburg.

Jumanji was first made into a film released on the big screen
December 15th, 1995 that starred Robin Williams, Bonnie Hunt, Kirsten Dunst, Bradley Pierce and David Alan Grier, directed by Joe Johnston.
Jumanji was also brought into the tv screens as an animated television series that ran for three seasons from 1996-1998.
