The Three Musketeers, "All for one, one for all" was more than just a motto. I think the turning point/climax of the novel the main climax concerns D’Artagnan’s tricking Milady. First D’Artagnan sleeps with Milady while pretending to be the Comte de Wardes, then sleeps with her as himself. D’Artagnan soon confesses to her that he had pretended to be the Comte de Wardes. Not surprisingly, Milady is furious and tries to kill D’Artagnan. This is the motivation that reveals Milady the primary antagonist and threat to the Musketeers.
Eventually, the Musketeers kill Milady and they live happily ever after. Porthos gets married, Athos continues to serve in the Musketeers until he inherits some land, and Aramis enters the priesthood. D’Artagnan makes a new friend, and Monsieur Bonacieux disappear
