If you're a philosophy lover, then yes, The Stranger by Albert Camus is a good book.

Not if you're looking for a good laugh.

"The Stranger" is a seminal piece of existential literature, so if that's your kind of thing, go for it. It was written during the Nazi occupation of France and the writing style is influenced by the disconnect that people felt at the time.
