I didn't know about one...but now that I do, I can't bring myself to give a damn.
I've only read one of Brown's books, "Digital Fortress," but it was rife with technical errors and overly-florid writing (see below). I've got better writers to read with my time.

I couldn't even watch the movie.
So def. NOT interested or excited about the new book.
It'll end up in the B&N bargain section in a year or so just like the rest.

I first read Angels & Demons, then the Da Vinci Code before reading Digital Fortress. If Fortress were the first book I had picked up, I wouldn't be inclined to read any of his other works. The first two, however, were so awesome I had a hard time putting them down. I'm not sure about the facts of either story, but they were were very interesting. Don't give up on him yet!

I'm totally thrilled! Re-read Angels & Demons and Da Vinci Code just to prepare! (I do that for lots of books, hubby used to laugh at me. In preparation for each Harry Potter book that came out I would read every book in the series to be sure I wouldn't forget any details.) After reading Digital Fortress, The Lost Symbol could go either way for me.

I just received an e-mail from Barnes and Noble about the book. I saw "Dan Brown" in the subject line and deleted it without reading further. It isn't that I didn't enjoy his other books as mindless, time-passing entertainment... It's that he has a predictable format. After reading the back cover, the only thing you don't know is how many clues the main character has to trudge through till the end.

I have read all of Dan Brown's books and really enjoyed all of them. I am looking forward to his new release, he spins things on their head and really makes you look at things differently. He does not claim that his books are factual but it certainly makes you wonder.

uggh nope, not the only one. I got through page 3 of DaVinci Code before I lost interest. I couldn't even watch the movie.
So def. NOT interested or excited about the new book.
