Looks to me to be Agricola.
In Agricola (Latin for "farmer"), you're a farmer in a wooden shack with your spouse and little else. On a turn, you get to take only two actions, one for you and one for the spouse, from all the possibilities you'll find on a farm: collecting clay, wood or stone; building fences; and so on. You might think about having kids in order to get more work accomplished, but first you need to expand your house.
Hard decisions to make on ever turn. Reminds me a little of Settlers of Catan, but much more enjoyable.
Peace,
joe

In my first game, I spent most of the game holding hands with a guy I just met that day. At one point (as I was holding hands), my best friend had to sing me a love song. It *almost* turned me gay.

Think Pictionary, except instead of drawing the words yourself, you have to instruct someone else on what to draw, and they don't know what the secret word is.

It's been out for a while, but I just discovered Quelf. I love randomized fun that will keep you talking about the silliness for weeks (like I feel about Balderdash). Thanks for the heads up. I'll have to remember to decline if ever asked to play.

Pit. This game is pretty dang awesome. It has been around for a long time, but that doesn't make it any less cool. It is a game modeled after the trading pit of the New York Stock Exchange, where your goal is to get a monopoly on a commodity such as coffee or oranges. As of the games can be quick you play numerous games until someone gets a certain amount of points by winning again and again. This game is a card game and there is one bear card and one bull card which are both helpful and hurtful, depending on whether you are winning or losing.
