I would like to blog about disability discrimination if I could...
I was fired form my last job in violation of the law. the EEOC and state are supposed to investigate-and get my back pay--but they can't be bothered-it seems they only rubberstamp 90% of cases as 'no cause'...I never had a chance....My employer was allowed to steal $45000 from me..
lawyers won't take these cases pro bono or on contigency--there is no legal aid for this.
I would blog for justice--to bring attention to the plight of people with disabiities and others who are victimized by discrimination-twice--first by the offender--and than by the government

It makes me sound elitist, but really, I blog because the people around me just don't understand.

1. To share a hobby or interest I have with others (in my case, food and cooking)
2. To share information and content from others that I find interesting (a new product, a new service, a cool web site).
3. Occasionally as a venting or emotional release regarding a frustrating situation (more like a journal than a blog). This is more rare, and I've got a blog specifically for the catch-all stuff that doesn't fit anywhere else.
I don't yet use my blog to make money, though I have considered trying it. The main reason I don't is that I would need to make a larger comittment to the blog, and update daily, or several times a day, instead of the once a week I am averaging at present. But I've thought about it. Perhaps as a New Year's resolution.

I blog to keep the culture true to the heart. You can only take so much from something, and then you have to give back.
I truly mean this when I say Breakdancing saved my life.

I had a very smart girlfriend at school, who also happened to be really pretty, the kind of woman that makes everybody on the street turn around and think "What the hell is she doing with that nerd"? Then we broke up, I moved to another city and had lots of free time and no girlfriend. So one night I found out about parship.com, then about match.com (also about dating at theonion.com, which was the worst).
I began my blog because I didn't want to pay for those services, which are a few dozens of bucks a month, and expected that whoever was interested in my profile would do a Google search for my nickname. For that, only one blog entry with my email seemed necessary, right? But when I did a Google search for my nickname myself, I found out that it appeared at several sites related to theonion.com as "men seeking men in San Luis Potosi"... So I decided to drown their content with my own and began blogging more often. I thought people didn't read me at all, so wrote whatever I wanted in a very irreverent way, criticizing stupid profiles that I found along my romantic, yet postmodern quest throughout the above mentioned sites, which got me some readers and fans.
Now I blog because it's funny to make people laugh and I'm also experimenting with ads, which so far has left me a lot less than the 10 Mahalo Bucks I got in tips already.

I also like to share information, it could be something stupid like a funny video or picture, or it could be to raise awareness about something that bothers me. It could be about technology, politics, etc. If I get stuck doing something at work, as soon as I get the fix I write a small article about it and post it. This way somebody with the same problem stands a chance of finding it through a search engine. It is very satisfying when somebody emails me to thank me about a tutorial I wrote a couple years ago and saved him from a problem at work.

I wish I could blog--but I am disabled--and I could never do it justice--all I do is work and sleep--I just happen to be home sick form working too much-- I would like to blog about disability discrimination if I could...

Mainly because many times, I have technical things or ideas or rants that I need to put down somewhere, and I'm horrible at keeping notes. On top of that, much of my social circle is uninterested, uninformed, or unable to grasp some of the concepts I wish to discuss, so I end up just throwing my ideas at a brick wall by attempting to engage them with it. It makes me sound elitist, but really, I blog because the people around me just don't understand.

I blog because girls like me like to vent about whatever is bothering us throughout the day. The thought that someone might see it and feel the same way is comforting for me, plus I don't drive people around me crazy by complaining in their ear non-stop. A blog is a place for my optimistic thoughts too, I can let my friends know about all the awesome things that happen to me all at once. This is really helpful if you have a busy lifestyle and can't always find the time to call/text your friends or get together.

I started blogs because I wanted to say something about a particular topic, but I often got distracted in building audiences and trying to provide too much variety. I've abandoned a few. Also, I wanted to make money, but then lost interest in the subject. Currently, my one remaining blog is dedicated to my thoughts on a topic that can't be summarized in an elevator speech, and probably won't be clear until I complete my point. Whatever it is. But the blog lets me pile up my thoughts as I approach the epiphany.

I wrote and blogged reviews on alot of events that I would help do, or events Ive attended and participated in. Then it got more deeper, as I got older. I began to write and blog for the community and the younger generation. I took more pictures of the kids than anything else. It lifted my spirits to see such motivation and drive in the youngsters, so I dedicated most of my posts/reviews to them. I blog to keep the culture true to the heart. You can only take so much from something, and then you have to give back.

First of all, I wasn't interested on blogging at all in the beginning. It all looked pretty selfish to me. People talking about themselves all the time: "I did this, I did that". And here goes the story... I had a very smart girlfriend at school, who also happened to be really pretty, the kind of woman that makes everybody on the street turn around and think "What the hell is she doing with that nerd"? I blog professionally and personally, and setup blogs for many people. I think the main reason I blog, and other people blog is to communicate that is much akin to a conversation. We read newspapers, magazines, website, articles, and get information, but we don't get the personal side of it. Blogs are great because they allow personal, deep, specific information that is raw, unfettered by editorial guidelines (for the most part) and give the writer a very strong voice that can be interactive via comments, Seesmic, and other avenues.

I enjoy posting flickr pictures (flickr is an awesome site if you haven't yet checked it out); one of the benefits is the blogging option. If you have any problem blogging, or illustrating your entry, flickr directly links for you. My blog is on gardening and the trials & errors encountered. I really enjoy posting information that I learn at meetings & conferences... it keeps the information in order by date with pictures for future notetaking and edification. It also allows me to share this knowledge with others... keep in touch with friends & family... stay focused in my hybridizing endeavors.

I like to write. Lots. My blog is my magazine, I decide what runs and when. If anyone likes it, I am happy. If anyone doesn't like it, they can duke it out in the comments thread. I have been blogging since before it was called blogging. Every penny I make on my blogging is extremely satisfying, especially since my previous employer pumped hundreds of thousands into their web presence and never managed to make a penny out of it! I also like to share information, it could be something stupid like a funny video or picture, or it could be to raise awareness about something that bothers me. It could be about technology, politics, etc. If I get stuck doing something at work, as soon as I get the fix I write a small article about it and post it.
