Honestly, I thought the movie was a bit too preachy. And I accept the evidence for global warming and consider myself much more environmentally conscious than the average person! :-)
As for the the rest of your questions, well, there is no scientific evidence that plants have any thoughts or feelings. Even the tests back in the 80's that suggested otherwise have long since been discredited, so I am loathe to personify them any more than I am a rock. (But then the thought of a carrot screaming as I bite into it, I find a bit depressing and distressing. At least I know my steak is dead!)
That said, I do find plants fascinating. If I were to personify them in some way, I'd say they were "hearty" creatures. After a forest fire, a lot of naturalists act like the area has been devastated by a nuclear attack and will be barren forever, but that is far from the case. The damaged area is always green in the next year or two. The plants come back! Without them, even the cock roaches that are supposed to survive any disaster would pack up and leave. :-)

IF you've seen The Happening (Movie) did it make you wonder just how smart plants may be?
Did the movie make you wonder why they grow the way they grow?
How some plants are so dangerous...
Do they really have intelligence...
Or was it just a Hollywood vision?
I'll be honest...made me wonder..
What's your opinion?
