I have had trouble finding my exact Y-DNA and mtDNA haplogroups, can you help?

Here is my mtDNA, it is apparently J1, but I'm not sure or notif it's in a subgroup of J1.  I only had HVR1 tested:
  • 16069T
  • 16093C
  • 16126C
  • 16261T
  • 16274A
  • 16355T
Here are my Y-DNA results as tested by Family Tree DNA using the Single Nucleotide Polymorphism test.  In Sept. 2007, they said it was R1b1c, but I think that's old nomenclature:
  • M173+
  • M207+
  • M269+
  • M343+
  • P25+
  • M126-
  • M153-
  • M160-
  • M18-
  • M222-
  • M37-
  • M65-
  • M73-
  • P66-
  • SRY2627-

Haplogroup J1 is a subgroup of Haplogroup J.

Haplogroup J (45000 years before present) derives from the haplogroup JT, which also gave rise to Haplogroup T.

Western Asia is the place of origin and the defining mutations of haplogroup JT are:
J* = 16069. (CR) 10398G, 12612G, 13708A.
J1* = 16261. J1a = 16222, 16172.
J2 = 16193. (CR) 7476T, 15257A.
J2a = 16231. (CR) 10499G, 11377A.
J2a1 = (CR) 1850C, 7789A, 13722G, 14133G.
J1b = 14798. J1c = 16193. J2b = 16193, 16278.

You can view information on your specific haplogroup at:

Subclades: R1b is a descendant of Haplogroup R1, which is defined by the presence of SNP marker M173.

This subgroup is believed by some to have existed before the last Ice
Age and has been associated with the Aurignacian culture[8] (32,000 -
21,000 BC).

Most of the present-day European males with the M343 marker also have the P25 and M269 markers. These markers define the R1b1b2 subclade.

Hello,

For your mtDNA, if you want to be placed in a subclade then you need full sequence results. That is HVR1, HVR2, and the coding region.

You should also check out Jim Logan's project for J.
http://www.familytreedna.com/public/J-mtDNA/default.aspx
For your Y-DNA, login to your account at Family Tree DNA. On the left look for the haplotree tool. It will be in an area labled for Y-DNA.. It will tell you about any upgrades for new Single Neucleotide Polymorphisms, SNPs. If you click on the R on the abreveated version of the tree it will open a detailed diagram of the R tree.

Regards,
Rebekah
