Summertime is the place to be in the Midwest. Partially because the winter is so gosh darn cold and because there's just not a whole lot to do. There are numerous events going on in and around the city which are definitely worth checking out. There is a festival called Summer Camp which takes place in Illinois in May and features a bunch of different types of music. One Earth has festivals in the spring and summer at the Water Bowl in Muncie. These events feature 20-25 bands.
Rothbury is six hour away in Michigan, but in past years the lineup has been so appealing that the trip was worth taking. Headjamz takes place in September in Adams, Tennessee and offers a weekend packed with music, vending and camping.
