Best Camera Strap for DSLR with heavy glass attached?
Going to be carrying at LEAST a D90 with 18-200mm glass attached, so will get heavy fast. Nikon's pathetic strap just doesn't cut it anymore.

What's the heaviest lens you'll be using? Seriously, the 18-200 is light, as is the D90, and a D300 isn't much heavier. The lens only weighs 20oz or so. The Nikon included strap isn't great, but why doesn't it work for this? I saw "heavy" and thought 400mm, not a 1lb zoom lens. :p

If you want a strap that will keep the camera on your shoulder, look at the UpStrap. I don't have one, never bothered with it (heaviest camera + flash + lens setup I have is around 6lbs, and when I've needed to use 2 bodies, the straps work just fine with that amount of weight), but the reviews seem to indicate that it will not slide around much, and it can take a good amount of weight.

If you want something with more padding to it, this may be an option:

I do think it's overkill for what you're using it for, but if the problem is slippage, the upstrap should help you quite a bit.
If you want something springier, look at an Optech. I use one for my tripod, and it's decent. Carrying the weight of the tripod + head isn't a problem at all.
