I do engage in greenback reclamation to a degree. However, my greenback reclamation is limited because I've worked hard not to accumulate things I don't want/need. Space is pretty valuable to me, so everything has its place. If there's something taking up space that I don't need, I'll definitely sell or get rid of it though.

Do you engage in Greenback Reclamation?
When I was a kid, I was dumb and thought spending money must be cool, just ask mastercard. Now, i'm cheap and reuse and resell everything I possibly can. It started when I was simply trying to get space back, and I was feeling poor, so I sold some stuff, "simplify" as it were. Now, I'm kinda hooked, like reverse consumerism. In the process, I get to give people stuff I don't use anyore cheap which has it's own thrill: I'm trying to sell a remote controlled plane today, which is gonna make some kids day, and parents too.
I coined the phrase the other day. Feel free to use it and the idea. Also, feel free to blast me or my idea.

Sort of. I donate tons of stuff to our local non-profit thrift store, where it makes those who cannot afford items happy. That is the best part to me. I also have been a reclaimee, buying the stuff that you don't want anymore. I think it would be fun to take the old computers people give away on craigslist and make myself a beowulf cluster.

I just give stuff away. I have a couple of boxes of boxes right now that need to go somewhere. Hardback books by Weber, Laurens, Garland, Roberts, Grafton, and a lot of other stuff. Too expensive to sell it to people on the mainland. Don't like people coming to my house for garage sales. Probably just end up giving it to Friends of the Library.
