I am a big fan of a 24 ounce Kirin Ichiban. Great flavor, nice big bottle, smooth with sushi.

Japanese beer with Japanese food! Yum!

Heineken will work when Sapporo isn't around.

I believe it is the level of hops in these brews that matches well with the flavors of sushi and sushimi.

Wheat or Witbier: Best with lighter foods, such as salads, sushi and seafood.

Hefeweizen: A classic sidekick for weisswurst, but it also goes well with lighter fare such as salads, fish and sushi.
