Bitters are used frequently in traditional cocktails. The simplest to try would be a Pink Gin which is just bitters and gin. You'll definitely want a quality gin for that.
The Old Fashioned is another classic. It uses bitters, bourbon, and sugar to create a cocktail that's easy to enjoy.
If you're feeling a bit adventurous, I highly recommend the Moscow Mule. It uses ginger beer to create a truly unique and refreshing drink.

A good alcoholic cocktail that uses bitters?
I've got a bottle of Angostura bitters at home, but don't have any good cocktails to use it in. Any recipe suggestions? Drinks that use commonly available alcohol are ideal as I don't want to go get something specially for a drink if I can help it.

• A short, but densely informative answer. I'll let you know if I try the Moscow Mule.
