Depends.. Daily lenses are usually quite fragile, and easily tear. You can often wear them for a second day, but after that, they get rough, and uncomfortable. Plus, Day lenses cannot easily be cleaned, meaning they get dirty after removal.
The same applies for week-month lenses. They are more or less 'guaranteed' for the set period, but can usually be used some additional days.
Word of caution: The quality of the lenses WILL deteriorate over time, and we ARE talking about your eyes here. If you have sensitive eyes, don't wear them beyond their expiration day.
It's a bit like with milk. You can take the risk of using it after the expiration date, but don't be surprised if it turns sour!

If you are using the monthly lenses, then it would depend on how often you are wearing them. If you wear them everyday, all day, they could get worn down faster. Make sure to always keep them moisturized. If they become dry often while wearing them, it can make your lenses not last as long. As long as they are not irritating your eyes or have any rips or tears in them. It is risky but it has been done. (Not Medical Advice)
