"Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder". I will never forget this phrase uttered by my teacher when I was in high school. His wife is also a our teacher in another subject and we asked him, "Why did you choose to marry your wife?" And he answered, "If you could only borrow my eyes, you will see the beauty of my wife."
We have different ways in seeing beauty, when I was young I am very conscious of how I look, I want to be physically attractive but now that I am older I see beauty in a different way. Beauty for me is something that embodies the whole being of a person, a person is beautiful if he/she can touch someone else's life through his/her deeds and actions. That is the beauty of the soul.

This doesn't apply on the nature itself but also to us people. Others maybe won't appreciate the beauty in us with just one look. But if they'll take time to get to know us, they'll find true beauty inside. Because beauty doesn't just have to be on the external. It also have to be inside.

I'd back up this definition because, clearly, what one person finds beautiful may well be met with apathy by another, and it's totally subjective. Therefore, it is the reaction of the beholder, not some innate quality in the beautiful thing that defines beauty.
Scientists have given us explanations of what happens to brain chemistry when we are in love, all the details about the production of endorphins and other compounds and a flat, emotionless clinical account like that seems to reduce a wonderful feeling to a matter of chemical reactions. I'm almost apologetic in saying I think that the perception of beauty is similar in nature. Probably some neuron squirts a certain molecule into a receptor when we have that sublime moment, but that need not negate the divine emotion we feel.
I could attach any number of music clips, photos or videos that I find beautiful, but would you agree with my opinion? I recently felt amazed by the intricate colors of a Japanese beetle, but how many people would feel delight at the image of this pesky little critter? It's all subjective.

It is not obvious, you need to look deep for it.
beauty is not a color, shape, size or even sex.
It is what you hear, smell, feel, the sound of YOUR baby ,the feel of your mate.
I think each person really needs to look deep inside themselves to see true beauty.

Take for example, the Beauty and the Beast story. We can say she is beautiful physically and everyone admires her beauty, but also she is beautiful inside, she loves the beast ,was not afraid of him because she finds beauty in him although physically the beast is scary. And Belle has no interest for the other suitor of her even he is physically handsome because she can find the ugliness of his character..the end.
Conclusion is Beauty is Beauty, no exact meaning to it. The see, the feel, the experience and the emotions derived from it is unexplainable and endless.

And then that got me thinking.
Beauty really is subjective, or as the wise one said, "in the eye of the beholder." And so, with my generic, but oh-so true conclusion, I began to list those things which are most beautiful in my very own eyes.
For example, I thought of the wrinkles on an old woman's face - tell tale signs of eyes crinkling with laughter and lips that have kissed a lover, a mother, a father, a child and a friend. I thought of bubbles floating through a soft green field speckled with dainty whites and purples. Or get-away sprinkles that happily dance across the counter with a flash of color.
What came to mind was the sound of my grandfather's deep and tender voice as he read the Christmas story early on that special family day. I also recalled those early childhood moments where I flirted with the edge of the forest in search of the most vibrant, juicy berries that always quenched my thirst-pangs as they burst against my palette.
I thought of that flicker in a persons eye when you know they're thinking the exact same thing as you. Beauty could also be the way a laugh sort of creeps up on you in the most opportune moments, but those are the laughs that feel the best sometimes, I think.
Beauty is a book you couldn't put down - the one that you thought you might regret staying up late to read but then didn't regret it at all. You know those books. Those are the ones you walk by in the library and can't help but run your fingertip down the binding as all the words come rushing to the front of your mind.
Beauty is also the warm light that cascades through your window pane and illuminates everything so that every hue in the room is more brilliant than you ever thought possible. It's that intoxicating feeling that ripples through your body when you're with your soul mate. The natural blush that makes a woman glow from top to bottom after an orgasm.
It's the scent of honeysuckle drifting by your nostrils and the moment you sink into a warm bath.
Beauty is all kinds of things, I've discovered. And despite the fact that "in the eye of the beholder" has become overused and abused, its deeper meaning still holds through. I can find beauty anywhere I look, really. And to me, that's a beautiful thing in itself.

Examples:
The sight of my wife and my children (sappy but true)
The sound of a Formula One engine at full song. (others might say classical music. I argue that there is not much of a difference)
The feeling of witnessing the birth of my children. (again, sappy but true)

As far as beautiful music goes I would have to say someone sitting with their guitar just messing around, I grew up listening to my dad play and now I have and amazing musician for a boyfriend, and I get to hear all the beautiful music that flows out of him.
This is where I live, these are all places I have been to regularly, Haha I see some of them every other day.

Though I do recognize the extreme levels of masculinity exuding from every pore of Lon's being, I am reluctant to see him as a beautiful sex object.

Something beautiful doesn't always have to show, sometimes, it hides somewhere only some persevered, patient people could see.

I think beauty is a characteristic of a person, animal, place, object, or idea that provides a perceptual experience of pleasure, meaning, or satisfaction. Beauty is studied as part of aesthetics, sociology, social psychology, and culture. As a cultural creation, beauty has been extremely commercialized. An "ideal beauty" is an entity which is admired, or possesses features widely attributed to beauty in a particular culture, for perfection.

I believe beauty is a quality which elicits a certain reaction in the beholder, thus the source of the famous quotation about the eye of the beholder. To put it in more mundane terms, I would even revert to the famous quote about porno- the "I know it when I see it" idea. I'd back up this definition because, clearly, what one person finds beautiful may well be met with apathy by another, and it's totally subjective. Therefore, it is the reaction of the beholder, not some innate quality in the beautiful thing that defines beauty.

Beauty is anything that is raw and natural, without malice. It is, in essence, a sensation felt in both the intellect and heart, and its concept dynamic. Beauty is the squished face of a newborn, the wide eyes of a loving pet, the smile of kindness from a stranger at the end of a long day, the wrinkles in my Grandmother's hands, and the off-tune lullabye hummed by my mother-in-law to my children. Beauty is the look of two old friends who have met again after decades away, a small child meeting his father for the first time when he exits a transport after a tour, and even the nurse who, noticing I was afraid, sang to me while wheeling me down the hall to get a necessary surgery that terrified me. True beauty is everywhere, a precious resource that we luckily have plenty of.

Beauty comes in many forms and ways. Physical beauty, Innate beauty, Artistic beauty, Natures beauty, etc., we are surrounded with beauty everyday of our lives. Beauty can be explained most of the time, but sometimes we can't, we can just wonder and amaze ourselves by what we see or feel, that for us is beautiful. True to the saying that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder for people vary in their opinions and perceptions in everything we see, feel and experience. Take for example, the Beauty and the Beast story. We can say she is beautiful physically and everyone admires her beauty, but also she is beautiful inside, she loves the beast ,was not afraid of him because she finds beauty in him although physically the beast is scary. You would think that writing something about a word as common as "Beauty" would be a piece of cake. Easy as pie. But after thinking about the word and attempting to digest it, I came up with an uninspiring nothing. And even after digging up my trusty dictionary, I ending up coming to a pretty generic conclusion: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And then that got me thinking.

Beauty: Something I either have or wish to have that gives me pleasure from seeing, hearing, or feeling. Examples:
The sight of my wife and my children (sappy but true)

The Pacific Northwest is probably the most beautiful place in the world in my eyes, I couldn't live with out the trees and all the green, I love the cliffs over looking the beaches and the gorgeous sunsets. Everywhere you look there is beauty. There are so many things here that you can't find anywhere else, I used to take so much of it for granted when I was younger, then I went to Southern California it was horrible I missed all my trees and ferns and rainy days. I love living here. As far as beautiful music goes I would have to say someone sitting with their guitar just messing around, I grew up listening to my dad play and now I have and amazing musician for a boyfriend, and I get to hear all the beautiful music that flows out of him.
