What can I do about my hair loss?

I've been losing my hair for a couple years now. I've tried all hair products such as Rogain, Revivogen, all types of shampoos, vitamins and all types of other products. Nothing seems to work. I just want my hair to grow back thick long and healthy. Please help me!

Hair loss could be the result of a few things.

What kind of shampoo and conditioner are you using on a regular basis? If you're using anything that's drugstore bought, then that could be the reason. Reason being, cheaper shampoos contain detergent. That same level of detergent is used in laundry soap, car wash soap etc. It's very harsh on your hair cuticles. It blasts the cuticles open, essentially bending it backwards. Because your cuticles are bent backwards, it's leaving it open to dirt, damage, and tangling (the cuticles snag on to each other).

Now conditioner is made to close the cuticles, but most store bought conditioners contain lanolin. Lanolin is the same stuff we use to wax our floors. It's WAX. So instead of closing the cuticles, it coats them, that's how the hair is left soft and shiny.

However, because your hair cuticle is open, and the follicle is cover in wax, your sebaceous gland is probably producing too much sebum, or not enough. Your sebaceous gland cannot communicate with your hair properly, essentially making your hair grow thinner, and thinner until it falls out.

Get yourself some decent price hair care products that are professional grade. I know that Enjoy haircare sells a pretty decently priced stimulator, along with their volume line. Or get a good clarifying system. I only have experience with Enjoy's hair care, Revivogen (like you mentioned), and Alterna's Life volume.

If you're ever in Hawaii, come see me about a hair and scalp analysis. hehe
